Born in 1950 in Paris, Michel Rawicki grew up in the Bastille district. During his travels, he first becomes interested in the world of ice, then he gets closer to the fauna that inhabits it, a raw world that brings man back to the essential, to the simple struggle for survival. His images naturally take on an ethical and contemplative dimension, gradually changing his outlook and his approach to this sensitive nature. He has been using digital technology since 2002, but continues to work with film.
